The importance of a good looking website

If you own an online business, your site needs to be user-friendly, well-designed and relevant. After all, it's the biggest connection you have with your customers. To attract and retain those customers, your site's content should offer an image that meshes with the identity of your company. Your logo should be a reflection of your company's goals, target demographic and attitude. A good logo will become synonymous with your company; look at Coca-Cola and McDonald's.

Selecting a logo will take effort and time, but it's time well spent. Think about what your company represents, or the message you want to deliver to customers. Take a look at your competitors and the logos they use. Once you've seen those, find a way to set your company log apart from the rest.

Choose a website logo that also looks good in monochrome. Color is great, but if you need to make copies or send a fax, the logo needs to show up strongly and clearly. Don't use clip art, no matter how tempting the idea may be. Even if you can't afford to hire a professional to design your log, there are better methods to create a memorable and enduring log. There are companies online that can offer logos that you can either use as they are, or manipulate to suit your goals.
